I have decided more photo and less words in my blog and also to use English for non-Japanese people. Even in my lab several do not read Japanese.
I like this flower (Amaryllis), which is very jimi (meaning plain, simple) but suddenly become gorgeous and lasts briefly. Many flowers are like that. That is the reason I feel I must go to Naichi for seeing Sakura.
これは家主さんが持っているアマリリスの鉢で大事に枯れないようにしています。この時期、眼を楽しませてくれます。
沖縄のブーゲンビリアは花が紫色であると聞いています。この家には赤、黄、白とそれにこの紫と4色あります。十年も二十年もかけたとおもわれる家全体の壁がブーゲンビリアで覆われた家を見るとすむ人の気持ちが伝わっていいものです。
Okinawa people are proud of this purple color of bougainvill(a)ea. But actually I see more often red color bougainvill(a)ea in living districts here. Once this tree was nearly dead due to summer dry during my absence, but somehow survived after two years apparently dead period.
